What is an Item Upgrader in Pokemon Go?

The item upgrader adds a brand new widget at the top of the Angel and Cash Upgrade windows. The Manager is priced at 33 billion Angel Investors, and has no other benefit to the game, aside from making it easier to purchase upgrades.

Certain items come with a built-in boos which is less useful when upgraded. For instance the Goldwrap offers an additional slots for potion. They are often upgraded to add more value to a near-perfect or perfect item.

Costs

There are a few expenses that are associated with upgrades to items. The first cost is the upgrade itself. The cost is based on the item's new ilvl and the amount of perks it gains, and can be expensive. It can also be costly to upgrade an Best item upgrader to a higher level (such as Explorer > Champion, or Veteran > Heroic).

The other is the cost of items needed to upgrade. The items used are typically either Power Dices (dropped by monsters 21and over) or Minerals and Erons (obtainable by completing specific Mists of Pandaria or Warlords of Draenor quests). Another method to increase the chances of an upgrade achieving success is by using an item called the Blacksmith Blessing or an upgraded version of it. This item can be helpful in the event that your item or weapon is close to or has reached the top level of its level. This item lets you upgrade the equipment to the next tier without risking its breaking.
