The Roomba J7+ is iRobot's smartest robot vacuum to date. The most significant advancement, however, is its camera-based obstacle detection system. It uses AI to detect objects such as charging cables and shoes. It's also the first robot to automatically send you a picture of the object it comes across so you can tell it to avoid it in the future.

The Combo J7+ is the best rated robot vacuum robot to mop we've ever tested, removing dirt and spills with ease and leaving no trace that it was there. It's simple to control via the iRobot Home app that allows you to schedule cleaning times and set up Keep Out Zones to make sure it doesn't vacuum areas you do not want it to. And it's compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can turn it on and off with your voice.

Its design is also an improvement over the rest, with a sleek top piece that looks more like a toy robotic than a loud, obnoxious one. And the Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal System self-empties, which is great to speed up cleaning.

In our tests the j7+ performed quick to clean up dust, dirt and pet hair. The counter-rotating rubber brushes held the debris in its place rather than scattering it around the floor. It even could capture sand and small gravel that other robots can't. And it did all of this without getting tangled up in our pet's hair shed.

The j7+, although not as intelligent vacuum cleaner as the Roomba S9, which costs $1,217+ self cleaning vacuum cleaner-Emptying Vacuum Robot from iRobot and cannot clean the stairs, is still an option for those who require both mopping and a vacuum. It's not too expensive, and the IRobot app makes it user-friendly to use.

The iRobot Home App is easy to use, but we found it less reliable than other robotic cleaner applications. It can take a while to download updates and it is sometimes difficult to tell whether they're working until you actually see them in action.

2. Roborock Q5+

When you're looking for an automated vacuum cleaner that can do more than simply clean floors, the most effective option is likely to be hybrid. This kind of robot usually comes with a built-in tank for water that allows them to vacuum and mop your house at the same time. They also have a number of extra features, including smart mapping, small obstacle avoidance, and even the capability to wash and dry mopping pads. The disadvantage is that they can be expensive when purchased at full retail, but on Black Friday and Cyber Monday they often drop in price.

Roborock produces some of our most loved robotic vacuums and the Q5+ is no exception. perform to the standards. This is the cheapest model in their auto-empty line. Although it might not come with some of the expensive features (like no-go zones and multi-story memories), it's still an excellent choice when you're willing to make some compromises to save a few dollars.

The Q5+ is notably soft around obstacles like wall legs and table legs and walls, which makes it an excellent option for homes with a lot of furniture. It's also very thorough in removing dust bunnies. This is an area that most robot vacuums of lower quality aren't able to meet. The navigation technology in the Q5+ is excellent too, with very little missed corners and on walls.

The Q5+, as with other Roborock products can be controlled via a few buttons on the device or via the Roborock App. With the app you can start and stop cleaning and schedules, as well as create virtual barriers and no-go zones, and alter your home map, or re-label rooms.

If you opt for the Q5+ model, it ships with a new auto-empty dock, which was specifically designed to make the robot simple to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver however, once it's in place it can be done easily. It has a large LCD screen which is helpful in setting up schedules and changing settings. This isn't an essential feature for most people but it will help you keep track of the intervals between maintenance for your robot easily.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a sophisticated, well-rounded vacuum and mop. It's capable of mopping and vacuuming. Its design and features are among the best on the market however it's expensive.

The base station is attractive and is easily hidden when not in use, and its dimensions are quite small. The primary selling point of the station is the fact that it automates a variety of tasks, functions, and chores that other robots have to leave to you. It stores clean and dirty water, electrolyzes and heats the water (which many other robots require you to do), empties the dustbin after vacuuming, and keeps your robot charged and clean.

And its vacuuming is impressive and efficient, too. It's one of the few robovacs I've tested that does very well at collecting debris from plain floors, and is not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot 900 series.

But the Freo X Ultra has its shortcomings, particularly in terms of navigation. The laser and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable and reliable as other robovacs, meaning it can get stuck or confused in certain areas or rooms of the home. It can't climb stairs as well as competitors, for instance, and it doesn't have a dock that allows you to create a dedicated cleaning zone for carpets that are soft.

The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a great choice for those who want a vacuum robot that can do everything.

If you're looking to save some money or don't want to think about the limitations of this robotic there are many other great choices available with a wide range of eufy models priced considerably less. The eufy Qrevo curv, for example is less expensive, but offers more features, such as stairs and a fully-function Dock, that provides the ability to provide a more thorough vacuuming experience on floors that are unfinished carpets with low pile and even high-pile ones.

eufy is an Anker company that has a long history of creating robot vacuums with the right balance of performance, features, and price. The G30 Hybrid offers a powerful cleaning on hard and carpeted floors, as well as a mopping function at an affordable price. It's simple to set up by snapping one of the side brushes on, switch on and plug in the charging dock. The app walks you through a few steps to connect it to your Wi-Fi, and the G30 is ready to go. It remembers what it has already cleaned and where it cannot access. It automatically returns to the base to recharge, and then begins cleaning the area it left.

The elegant G30 has a few issues. The iRobot Roomba is better built and has lower recurring costs. It charges faster, offers the same battery life and is more effective on bare floors or low-pile carpet. It comes with a larger dust bin, which doesn't require the same amount of emptying. It also comes with boundary strips that keep it from certain areas. The G30 is, however, is more affordable and a lot easier to maintain. Its smaller size means that it doesn't need to be emptied as frequently, and it has less difficulty with bulky items such as cereal.
