Prioritizing Customer Expectations Critical to Quality (CTQ) Attributes or Critical to Quality (CTQ) Tree is a key mechanism for categorizing the qualities that have a significant impact on customer satisfaction and success, hence defining success for your organization.

A CTQ Tree is usually constructed by identifying and categorizing all critical to quality attributes of products, services, or services. This process typically begins by asking questions such as:

1. What are our customers looking for?
2. What motivates them to choose us over our competitors?
3. What issues would make them dissatisfy with our offerings?

The answers to such questions will help identify 4 types of CTQ attributes that are important in determining customer satisfaction.

1. Major CTQ attributes
This specifies the major categories that impact customers' choices, such as, Cost.
Pricing is the major factor that contributes to customer satisfaction. This means that if the price does not fit their budget, the customer will be forced to walk away and look at other options.

2. Minor CTQ attributes

3. Hidden CTQ attributes
Hidden Traits does not fit into obvious categories of major and minor. Features such as easy communication. 4. Unique CTQ attributes
